I'm just playing around with famous quotations. You should try it. Fun.
"He who can, does. He who can't, teaches." (George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman, 1903.)
In spite of Shaw's poor opinion of teachers, he tries to teach us about teachers. His pretense of being sure about the shortcomings of teachers makes him a poor teacher.
Here is my answer to the quote. "Those who aren't sure understand the situation perfectly. We learn from them how to learn." (Dennis Raymond Ware, Still Missing the Basket, 2023.)
By the way, it appears that Shaw`s play argues for ongoing human evolution, which means we haven`t arrived at the superman stage and surely don`t know what we are doing yet. If you are sure you know what this about, you don't get it, so don't quote me.
In software architecture, the answer to any question is always 'it depends'... ;)
